Services include:

  • Licensed child care programs  that provide the opportunity for children with developmental concerns & special needs to be part of an environment that is rich in activities that encourage their growth and development
  • Fee subsidy to help pay for child care at licensed programs throughout Guelph and  Wellington County
  • Intake support for families interested in having their child with developmental concerns or special needs attend a child care program (including coordination of resources to support the child within child care as well as information about other resources)
  • Support to the child care community through service planning and funding

County of Wellington Child Care Services provides accessible, high quality childcare in Guelph and Wellington County through its two directly operated child care programs and private home child care program.  Families are also supported through fee subsidy to help pay for licensed child care, and through the entry of children with special needs into child care through coordinated and effective service and resource planning.

County of Wellington Childcare Services is a part of the Growing Great Kids System of Care designed to make it easier for families to access community-based services and supports for children from prenatal to age six.
