The Darling Home For Kids

Services include:

  • Respite care & day camp programs for MFTD children aged 0-18
  • Therapeutic programs, including pet therapy, hydrotherapy, recreation therapy, music therapy, snoezelen, and a program for the siblings of MFTD children
  • Parent education on topics like Pain and Symptom Management, G-tube Troubleshooting, Body Alignment and Range of Motion, Alternative Therapies & Community Resources


The Darling Home for Kids provides paediatric hospice care and respite services to Ontario families who have children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses requiring complex care and/or technology-dependent care.  The mission of The Darling Home for Kids is to optimize the quality of the lives of children with these special needs by providing respite services and paediatric hospice care in a home-like environment, with highly qualified nursing and support staff that can give out-of-home overnight care, bereavement support, and educational training to these families.
